Off Grid Applications Open

Presented by The Courtyard Hereford and Arts Alive, Off Grid is a scratch night created for professional performing artists who want to test, share, and develop small-scale work in front of a live audience.

Open to all art forms, shortlisted artists will present a 15-minute excerpt, receive constructive feedback from industry professionals, and connect with rural and small-scale touring opportunities.

Previous artists described the experience as “a truly warm and supportive community,” highlighting the “invaluable support” and clear next steps the programme offered at a crucial stage in their careers. 

Taking place on Wednesday 1st April 2026 at The Courtyard Hereford (with rehearsals on 31st March), Off Grid is an opportunity to take creative risks, be seen, and move your work forward. 

Deadline to apply: Friday 30th January 2026.

• Applications Open: 15th December 2025
• Applications Close: 30th January 2026
• Shortlisted Artists Notified*: w/c 9th February 2026
• Rehearsal Day: 31st March 2026
• Performance Date: 1st April 2026
