NRTF
Key speakers are getting ready for our 2025 conference. The last date to book your place at the three-day-event is this Tuesday 10 June.

Delegates are gearing up for our 2025 conference and we have a brilliant line-up of speakers on the programme.
People at the conference will hear from Laura Sedgwick – Producer for Theatre Green Book – and three other brilliant speakers.
Laura (pictured above) said: “It is fantastic to be joining the NRTF Conference this year for the first time. I’m really excited to spend dedicated time with members of the rural touring theatre community discussing the opportunities and challenges that come with working to make rural touring productions and venues more environmentally sustainable.
“It’s not often you get a decent amount of time to share ideas and do some big-picture thinking!”
Theatre Green Book is a grass-roots initiative to move theatre and the performing arts closer towards a greener future, in response to the climate crisis.
Laura added:
“The rural touring sector is a front-runner in making magical, impactful shows and bringing them to audiences all across the country, usually with little resource and a light environmental impact.
“We all have a great deal to learn from the sector, about the stories we tell, but also how we make and tell them.”
Another speaker is Andrew Davis – a leading force at the crossroads of digital marketing and generative AI.

He said: “I am excited to be part of this conference because I’m bringing insights into AI and communication, helping us all understand how these tools can connect us more deeply with our audiences.
“There’s something truly special about hitting the road in the small towns, where every show feels personal, every handshake feels genuine, and every community opens its arms with a warmth.”
Also among our excellent line-up of speakers is Carmel Clavin – an internationally award winning immersive producer & cabaret host with accolades from Australia to Scotland. And Elizabeth Freestone – Associate Director at the Royal Shakespeare Company, and co-author of 100 Plays To Save The World.
