Rural Touring Awards – Newcomer Award

This award recognises an artist, touring company, promoter or programming organisation new to rural touring who has made a significant early impact.

Do you?

  • Have less than 3 years’ experience in the rural touring sector?
  • Able to demonstrate the impact of your work?
  • Have a commitment to engaging with rural touring contexts and / or audiences?

Eligibility:

  • Nominee must have initially engaged with the rural touring sector between 1st April 2023 and 31st March 2026
  • Nominee must demonstrate a clear connection to rural touring contexts
  • Artist: completed at least 5 performances in rural settings and / or presented with one of our membership rural touring schemes
  • Touring Company: completed at least 5 performances in rural settings and / or presented with one of our membership rural touring schemes
  • Promoter: presented at least 5 performances in rural settings in the period 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2026
  • Programming Organisation: initiated or reestablished a rural touring programme between 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2026

  • Self nominations are accepted.

  • Nominations are made via this form and need to be received by 18th May 2026.  We will contact nominees by 22nd May 2026 and confirm the shortlist by 5th June 2026.
